Both Fish oil and Krill oil contain a lot of benefits for the body. For quite some time now, there have been debates on which oil is actually better. Though there are some sites that would prefer one over the other, we really cannot be sure because they might have hidden motives for choosing one over the other. Do remember that the choice would depend on you and how the oils would affect you.
One of the most important nutrients that the body needs is Omega 3 fatty acids. This has been discussed countless times by different people. However, you might be surprised that a lot of the diet plans that are available right now lack the right amount of Omega 3. Most of the time, it is Omega 6 present in the food we eat and this of course can lead to sickness because too much Omega 6 is bad for your health when you have a lot amount of omega 3 in your body.
It might be helpful for you if the oils would be discussed to inform you why these two are different which is probably something you want to know when deciding between krill oil supplements or fish oil. Fish oil actually comes from a range of different fishes while Krill oil only comes from Krill fish. Next, both Fish oil and Krill oil contain EPA and DHA but the cell structures differ. Because of the structure of the cells in Krill oil, the nutrients can be more easily absorbed by the body. Also, Krill contains anti oxidants while Fish oil does not. At this point you might think that Krill oil is actually the better choice but actually, there are still other factors that you would have to consider.
A major advantage of the krill oil benefits is that it also contains Vitamins A, D and E. While all these are good for the body, Vitamin A can be toxic when there is too much taken all at once. In extreme cases, toxic reactions may actually occur. Always take note that taking too much can still lead to other health issues later.
Also do remember that we are not really sure if Krill oil is really purer than Fish oil because there are not enough studies to really say that it’s cleaner than Fish oil. Fish oil on the other hand has been tried and tested for countless times and it’s already a known source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Maybe it is better to stick to the original source of Omega 3.
