Things to consider before booking a static caravan holiday

It’s that time of year again that we all start to get a little twitchy and need to start thinking about the summer vacation. When booking a holiday we should all bear in mind that if we book either very early or very late, we can make the most of some really good deals.

Before you go booking it is advisable to bear in mind this check list:

  • First you will want to decide where you would like to go. There are so many beautiful areas in the UK, and really you can be spoilt for choice as to where you may wish to go and visit. If you are an outdoors sort of person you may want to consider Scotland. Scotland boasts some of the most beautiful scenery and is a really good place to go if you like walking and exploring wildlife. It is also a good place to go if you are choosing to take your pets. Wales and the Norfolk broads may also appeal if you are after a more scenic type of vacation. The Cornish coastline is home to some of the most beautiful beaches. The people are friendly and you will never be far away from an old traditional country pub.
  • Next, decide on what time of year you would like to go. England has always been a bit of a ‘mixed bag’ when it comes to the weather – but this certainly does not affect the enjoyment of this beautiful country. If you are after barbequing weather, look at the months between May to August where you will be more likely to find yourself on holiday with sunny weather. Alternatively the crisp wintery winters are a stunning sight and around Christmas time you will see how the English celebrate the festive season with wool and twinkly lighting. The beaches in Cornwall are also less commercialised at this time of year and are more peaceful and romantic.
  • Booking your holiday. You obviously want to get the best deals so it is advisable to search around on the internet either well in advance or alternatively (if you are able to) leave the booking until last minute. This can be a risk but the chances are that you will find some static caravan holiday parks that will welcome you. Static caravan holidays are some of the cheaper options to holidaying in the UK but will not disappoint on comfort. They are a great way of splitting costs if there are a few of you going, or even if you have pets.
